Editorial illustration for The Lily. I created two illustrations to accompany the article ‘What Foster Parents Want you to Know’ by Carol Shih.
I wanted to create illustrations that conceptually represent what it feels like to be a foster parent. Often foster parents are the last resort for children who have come from broken or complicated homes. I wanted to illustrate how the foster parent is a resource, light and important support system for a child who transitioning between different home environments.
